BLUE SKIES AND RAIN

When it rains, it pours. Walter didn't know why that came to his head just then. The NTSB agents were still cleaning up the debris that had scattered over his neighborhood. The medics who found him trembling in his driveway had attributed his behavior to shock. There was no reason for anyone-not the FBI, or Hank-to suspect that the collision had anything to do with him. It was just so damn bizarre…

Walter knew he had to work quickly. Saul could help. And what about Mr. Fring? He seemed so competent compared to him. Would he still be willing to continue their business relationship?

He would have to figure out what to do about Jesse. In his condition, would he talk? What, God forbid, would he have to do if he did?

The good news was that Skyler was back. She'd seen the explosion and must have known that he was involved somehow-it had been too much of a coincidence that it had happened just after she'd discovered the money. But he was still her husband; they had their family to think about, and she had known that he would need her.

The bodies that had been found on his own driveway...Walter knew that would haunt him for a long time. And there was that damn teddy bear…why did that image, of the burnt toy, stay in his mind? For some reason the bear seemed like another victim, even though intellectually he knew it was just a stuffed animal.

At any rate, the house was off limits for a long time now. The hospital where he was staying to recover from his "Breakdown" would be a good place for him to regroup, gather his thoughts, and try to figure out what his next move was. Because Walter knew it would have to be soon.

Like the saying went…when it rained, it poured. Even if the skies were clear blue.
