It Rained Today

I'll always remember that day in the rain. Right before we activated the shield and the rain didn't hit our beautiful city any more. Our city. We were the leaders, the ones everybody turned to. We were strong together. I'm not as strong without you here. The rain still makes me cry, and then I have to explain to Guinna why I'm crying.
Our daughter, she's so beautiful. I hate that you never got to meet her. She has your and my eyes, and unfortunately Rodney's ability to technobabble, even at the age of five. She's amazing...smart, diplomatic, and just loves to fly.
Well I'd better get going before they get worried. I just came to say bye for now. We've been called back to earth. For just a little while I'll be far away, but I know you'll be there watching over us. Because that's just the kind of person you are, even if you're gone. I just came to tell you that I love you... and it rained today.
