Two Flashpoint fics in one day, I'm on a roll...
This is just a cheesy Sam/Jules one-shot that I wrote when I was bored (procrastinating on homework) the other day. I hope you enjoy it!
Disclaimer: I do not own Flashpoint. I WISH I did, but I don't.
Jules pulled into her driveway after a long afternoon of shopping and catching up on the errands that she had neglected the rest of the week. Exhausted, all she wanted to do was go inside and crash and sleep the rest of the night so she would be fully rested for her early shift the next day.
Her arms filled with grocery bags, Jules carefully made her way up the porch steps, keeping her eyes on her feet so she wouldn't trip and fall. It wasn't until she reached the top that she noticed someone else was standing there outside of her door, waiting for her.
It was Sam.
"What do you want?" She called as she walked up to him, shifting the heavy bags in her arms.
"Here, let me help you with that," Sam offered, reaching out his hands to help relieve her of some of the weight.
"No," Jules stated firmly, rejecting his offer, "I've got it. Just tell me what you're doing here, I still have a few things to do and I need to get these inside."
"I came here because I think we need to talk about us," Sam told her, standing his ground and getting straight to the point, not even trying to beat around the bush, "I think you and I both know that breaking up was a mistake, and I think we both regret it. I see it in your eyes everyday, so don't even try to tell me that it isn't true."
"I don't want to talk about this right now, please, just go," Jules insisted as she tried to push past him and through the door.
"No, not until we talk about this," Sam told her as continued to stand directly in front of her, not letting her get by.
"Fine, then I'll leave," She said as she turned to walk away, still carrying the grocery bags in her arms, but before she had a chance to do so, Sam reached out and grabbed her shoulder in an attempt to stop her.
"Jules, you can't just leave," Sam told her, continuing to keep a firm grip on her. "And besides, look at the clouds, its going to start raining any second."
"Fine, you want to talk about it?" She questioned angrily, "You and I both know the rules and nothing we do will ever change that. Having this conversation doesn't do either of us any good, it just makes things worse. End of discussion"
"No, not end of discussion," Sam fought back. He took a deep breathe, and then continued, "The rules don't mean anything if I leave the team.'
"Wh-what?" She stuttered in disbelief as she titled her head up to look him in the eyes.
"I love the team like a family just as much as you do, but I'm not about to let that get between us," He told her, finally letting go of her shoulder, "I love you, Jules."
"I-I don't know what to say," Jules muttered, taking a slight step closer to him as she bent over to place the plastic bags on the ground next to her.
"Say you love me," Sam insisted, looking into her beautiful, brown eyes as she stood back up, "I know it's true, and you've said it before, so just say it again. Say you love me, Jules, and I'll transfer to a different team."
"I can't make you do that," She stated firmly, "I can't make you give up something like that. It just wouldn't be right."
"Yes, you can," He insisted, reaching out to hold her hand. She accepted, intertwining it tightly with hers, and leaned in as she stood on her tippy toes to give him a sweet kiss, lingering for a second before releasing her grip from his hand so she could wrap her arms around his neck, pulling him into a tight hug.
"I love you, too." She whispered, laughing as he picked her up and twirled her around, the rain steadily pouring down on top of them.
Let me know what you think in a review!
