He doesn't know his father very well; he's been away on business for almost as long as he can remember.
His mother he barely knows - between her part-time job and her visits to his father he almost never sees her.
His grandmother had died when he was but a babe, so he had never known her.
His grandfather, though, he knows and loves with all his heart. The old man had basically raised him, and they shared many interests.
His yami wasn't really family. He was more than family. It made Yuugi feel as though blood relatives meant nothing.
