High Society

Prologue

Death isn't beautiful. Death isn't romantic. Death isn't something to be fantasized about. These very words circled the brunette's mind as she continued to furiously scribble down the strange planes of her mind and emotions in the velvet notebook.

Oh how could I be so foolish, she thought to herself. Captivated by the words of Shakespeare...why, he's no different to any of those stupid mindless poets who glorify the damn war. There's no such thing such thing as dying for love... just dying. There is nothing else to death. It's just death, simple death. Nothing heroic, nothing remarkable, nothing admirable, nothing respectable, simply death.

The girl continued to blame herself, still unable to comprehend how on earth she has allowed her father, the only one who understood her, the single human being who she loved, the only one who could make her feel safe and loved herself, to be so heartlessly pryed out of her hands.

The damn war, her pen cut through the paper. Why, weren't they stupid enough the first time? Isn't one supposed to learn from their mistakes? Mistakes that cost lives...just the thought of it made her blood boil.

She slammed shut the velvet notebook, doing her utmost best to resist from hurling absolutely every possesion of hers at the pristine white wall. She just wanted to scream, scream till her lungs gave in.

Where's my damn Prince to rescue me? If this isn't what you call a damsel in distress then I don't know what is... were the last words that circled in the strange planes of her mind and emotions before sleep took it's toll.

Hi guys. So, this is a new story. If you haven't noticed, I changed my username. It's a line from one of my favourite books ever. Um, so if you read this, please go read and review the new chapter of The Popularity Contest. I can't even begin to tell you how gutted I was at the lack of reviews. I've been working on that chapter for over a month, and it's so irritating when nobody reviews after I put so much effort in. I'm honestly considering quitting fanfiction. I could still write, and it would be without the disappointment when nobody reviews. So yeah, please review, it really does mean the world to me :)
