At The End of The Universe

"Hey, Bulk, uh… you doin' okay?"

Bulkhead turned, optics wide.

"Yeah, Jackie, I'm fine."

Wheeljack smiled. "Good. Hey, uh, listen…"

He stopped the green lug in his tracks, optics to the ground.

"About what happened the past few cycles… I'm sorry for pushing you away."

Ultra Magnus's lectures can get anyone's tailpipe up in a jam, though what he did to Bulkhead was inexcusable. Thanks to Arcee's help, he finally found it in himself to speak to Bulkhead.

"Hey, it's alright, Jackie," his mighty hands reaching out, waving gently. "You're a hothead, but I know your spark's in the right place."

They trained together, lobbed together, bashed Cons on the field. He should know better than to push Bulkhead away, even if riding with Prime made him soft. He was now his only friend.

"After what happened to Roadbuster and the others, I just about lost hope of ever finding any other Bots, never mind Wreckers out in the galaxy," Wheeljack began. "When I found you again, I was glad that I was wrong about being the only one out there. I just… don't wanna loose you either."

Their arms linked. Looking up, Bulkhead had his sparkling eyed look. He was the most sensitive out of all the Wreckers.

Wheeljack wondered how he could have so much strength out in the field, never mind how he even got into the Wreckers, yet it was the same sensitivity that he and the Wreckers needed at the end of the day.

He loved the battlefield, but he wanted this pointless, long war to end. It took away so many of their friends. By now, Wheeljack was glad Arcee gave him that nudge.

"We're the only Wreckers alive, Jackie… I'd come for you if you were at the edge of the galaxy."

A gentle squeeze went through his hands.

Of course… No matter how thick Wheeljack built his walls, Bulkhead always broke them down with little to no words.

The sombreness disappeared once a mischievous smile was on his face. That was enough moping. As Miko said, it's time for dune bashing.

"Wanna lob?"

The lug of a Wrecker bashed his hands together, the ground vibrating from his jump.

"Primus, yeah!"

I felt that since they cut season 3 to 13 episodes, they didn't fully develop some of the plot lines, such as Ultra Magnus's insight into having a more 'informal familial' structure, rather than the military ranks he's usually used to. As well as how they didn't exactly touch up on Wheeljack and Bulk's friendship.

I miss the show so much… Hub gave My Little Pony two more seasons. Why Hub… WHY?!
