Ziva David rarely gets nervous. Years of Mossad training have made her practically invincible in battle or confrontation, and even when she does feel rattled, she can almost always hide it.
Not now.
Now, she is sitting in a hospital waiting room, shaking her right leg and wringing her hands. Her heart beats wildly in her chest and drops of sweat gather on her forehead. At this moment, she is extremely nervous.
More than that.
Terrified.
A doctor steps into the room and calls, "Tony DiNozzo?"
She and Gibbs leap out of their seats and rush forward. They stand in front of the doctor and listen as he details the surgery.
And then he says the magic words that release all her fears… "He's going to be okay."
An hour later, they are permitted to see him. Ziva rushes in ahead of Gibbs, and when Tony sees his partner, he grins and tells a stupid joke.
She doesn't even mind, because she has never been so happy to see a goofball 38-year-old with his leg in a cast.
178 words. I've having some serious writer's block at the moment; if you have an idea you'd like me to write, send it… I just might write it and give you credit for the idea! : ) Thanks for reading… review?
