Unbroken
Hello, Lovelies, this is my first attempt writing a Skyrim fanfiction, and I'm giving a warning now that things may or may not be lore friendly and therefore I deeply apologize and I plead that you do not raise the pitchforks and torches and form an angry mob. I'm still writing my other stories and stuff, don't worry. Sometimes my brain wants to prioritize what I write on my free time. I'm warning you now as well that I may mention some mods for Skyrim that in my opinion helped me build my Dragonborn and there is a certain romance mod included as well. ;)
Good news though, I now have a better writing program on my computer, so less spelling errors! YAY! No guarantees for any grammar errors though, sorry! I will also admit it took me awhile to come up with a title perfect for this, and laugh all you want I got the idea from listening to a song I usually listen to when I write which the song kind of made me felt was perfect for my Breton.
AHEM!
Anywhooooo
I hope you enjoy the journey with my Breton dhampire Dragonborn, I'm using dhampire lore from wherever I could find on the internet for this considering I couldn't find much about them through the elder scrolls wiki except for the Grey Prince but there wasn't much to go on with that one because well..um...spoilers for those who haven't played Oblivion yet...um...yeah...he dead.
*cough*
DISCLAIMER: I DO NOT OWN THE ELDER SCROLLS: SKYRIM!
Enjoy the story lovely dovahs ! :3
Prologue
20th of Sun's Dusk 4E 1
It was peculiarly colder than a normal night of Sun's Dusk, the snow that had been falling all day was starting to show signs of becoming a blizzard. However, that didn't stop a young dhampire woman from hunting an elk to bring back home for her uncle's servants and herself to eat for supper. Though little did the young woman know off in the shadows two pureblood vampires stood and watched her.
"Remind me why again do we have to ensure that girl must be alive in two hundred years from now?" the youngest vampire asked grumpily, not wishing to see the woman whom killed his lover. "'That girl' may I remind you is your daughter, and you need to let go what happened seventeen years ago!" The oldest hissed, already regretting bringing his brother with him, though someone must ensure Serena's future new home will be safe and he couldn't exactly neglect his duties as a lord even though he would for the well being of his niece.
His brother let out a irritated growl then sighed. "Where is that damn necromancer you hired to do this since you refuse to turn her into a full blooded vampire?" He demanded. "Jesper, I already told you why I refuse to turn Serena. There could be possible risks and dangers for her if I do, and I refuse to put her in that much danger so I went for the lesser of the two evils." the oldest hissed.
"Would you two stop your bickering, I'm surprised she hasn't heard you considering I could hear you both halfway into Cyrodill from the border gates leading into Skyrim!" a Breton woman grumbled as she approached the two bickering brothers.
Both brothers turned to look at the Breton as she made herself comfortable in the shadows with them. "Are you prepared?" the oldest asked. She nodded and looked over at him. "Are you, Cedric? Once I begin the processes she will be in immense pain and you will have to do everything in your power not to interfere. I know you see her as your own daughter and you will do anything to protect her, but I need you to put those feelings aside if you are sure about this." She warned. Cedric looked over at his younger brother. "Will you restrain me if I cannot control myself?" He asked. His brother sighed and nodded. "You're not going to like how I will do it though." He warned. Feeling somewhat satisfied with their answers she walked into the clearing.
Cedric turned away and tried to do his best to block out any noise though his vampire hearing still picked up the sickening sounds of Serena screeching in pain and crying out for mercy. Jesper grimaced at the sight of his brother looking torn and heartbroken. He only seen him like that once and that was the day Cedric found out about Selene, Cedric's late wife, had an affair with him and was with child.
Finally the screaming stopped and Cedric slowly looked over, afraid to see his niece's lifeless body, but only to see the Breton approaching them with a black soul gem. It was quite clear Serena was not going down without a fight, because there was a few arrows in the Breton's arm and chest and a dagger still implanted her side. "You are very lucky I'm a vampire as well, because if I was still mortal and tried this she would have killed me." The Breton complained as she handed the soul gem to Cedric.
Cedric looked down at the soul gem and then back at the Breton. "How do we release her when we're ready for her to be released?" He asked. "Just smash the damn thing though be warned she might not be herself for a few days once she's free and might have memory loss." The Breton warned. Both brothers nodded and Cedric gingerly handed Jesper the soul gem where inside Serena was sealed away. "I know you hate her, but for the sake of Tamriel and the world...don't do anything reckless with it."
17th of Last Seed 4E 201
Jesper let out a few colorful words as the Imperial soldiers circled his fellow Stormcloak soldiers. He needed something to give him an upper hand, at least to make a quick escape so he can save Jarl Ulfric Stormcloak. His eyes landed on the soul gem he wore around his neck that held his daughter inside. Well it has been two hundred years, was all he could think as a reasonable excuse he will have to give to his brother as he grabbed the soul gem and threw it on the ground with all his strength.
A dark mist surrounded him and the soldiers and he could barely make out the female figure struggling to stand up. His eyes widen in shock as he saw Serena with glowing red eyes and she lunged at the first soldier-thankfully for him was an Imperial soldier-she could see. He knew the necromancer warned them she wouldn't be herself when she is released, but he didn't think she would have succumbed to her vampire half. As much as he wanted this as to be his way out to get his leader out before his fellow soldiers spot him since he is suppose to be a spy and Ulfric agreed it would be best if his men didn't recognize their own spy, he couldn't leave her alone like this. He yanked her off the Imperial and used the hilt of his sword to knock her unconscious.
Once the mist dyed down he saw in shock Ulfric surrendering to the Imperial soldiers. Jesper looked around and saw the reason why. Even if they could fight there way out of this mess, they were outnumbered. I watched as they took everyone, including Serena, into carts and carried off. Shit...Cedric is going to kill me! How in oblivion am I going to get her?!
Sorry if it's short, I swore up and down I thought it was longer considering it was like three pages long on my writing program! Oh well...
