SUMMARY: Well since it's Christmas and the whole CSI Santa thing, I thought I'd go with the flow of a Christmas story!
A/N: Sorry about this being late, it was part of a secret santathing and I couldn't post till now.
Brass heard a knock at his office door.
"Come in!"
He went back to his paperwork as he heard the door open.
"Hey,"
He looks up and smiles.
"Hey you."
He gets up and walks over to her and leans down to kiss her.
"Are you feeling any better?"
"Yeah a little bit, are you still coming over tomorrow?"
"Of course, would I ever disappoint you or Lindsey?"
"No."
She leaned up and gave him another kiss.
"I better go, Grissom will have my tail if I'm late again."
"Well you know where to find me if you need a bodyguard."
She laughed, gave him another kiss, and then left.
THE NEXT MORNING
"Lindsey is everything set?"
Lindsey rolled her eyes.
"Yes mother, for the millionth time, gees."
Just then the doorbell rung. Cath went to the door and opened it. When she did, she started cracking up. In front of her stood Jim Brass dressed up in a santa suit complete with the beard and small bag.
"Merry Christmas Cath."
"Merry Christmas."
When Lindsey heard her mother laughing, she went to the door to see what was up.
"Hahaha, hey Santa. Bring us any gifts?"
Jim walked in and they walked into the living room, Lindsey on the floor with Cath and Jim in front of her on the couch. He opened his 'sack' and pulled out the first present.
"Hmm for Ms. Lindsey."
He handed her the colorfully wrapped present to her. He gave out the rest of the presents he had except for his special gift and watched them open their gifts. Lindsey got a new CD/Stereo player and a lava lamp. She gave him a hug and sat back down. Finally Cath opened her present which was a diamond necklace with matching earrings. When she saw them, she pretty much jumped Jim and hugged him to death.
"Mom, he does need to breathe you know."
She loosened her grip, gave him a kiss, and sat back down.
"And of course there's one more present for you."
He looked at Lindsey who smiled and then looked at Catherine. He grabbed a little velvet box out of his pocket and got down on one knee.
"Cath, you and Lindsey are the most important thing to me in the whole world. I love being a part of your family and I want to make it permanent. Catherine Marie Willows, will you marry me?"
He opened the box to reveal a single cut diamond ring. She had tears running down her face and all she could do was nod. He took the ring out of the box and slid the ring onto her finger. They leaned towards each other and kissed while Lindsey went to the tree and grabbed her present for Jim. They stopped kissing, although they kept one arm around each other.
"This is my present for you, after you asked me if you could marry Mom, I thought of the perfect present."
She handed Jim the present and he opened it.
"Are you sure Linds?"
"Very."
Cath was curious and looked in the box. Inside were adoption papers for Jim to become Lindsey's father. Jim hugged her tightly as a tear slipped down his face.
"I'd be honored Lindsey."
After they finished opening all the other presents, they sat down to eat. They all couldn't wait for a new life they were starting together.
