Disclaimer: I don't own Digimon.
Author's note: Actually, this story came to me when I was looking at fanart and saw Tai as a cat. Then I tried to draw Tai as a dog (it isn't very good, I'm still an amateur). Then I got the Digimon Racing game for GBA and they mentioned fractal (which happens to be a real word, I looked it up) energy or something and I was struck by an idea. And, by the way, this isn't related to THE DIGIMON CHRONICLES either. So, read and review or flame if it's that bad, but remember to take the extra couple seconds and explain why it sucks so horribly so I can improve. (P.S. If any one has a good title please tell me)
Fractal Energy
Prolog
It was a warm summer day in Odaiba, Japan. Occasional pieces of trash floated down the city streets in the soft breeze. The sun was shinning and the sky was the purest blue one had ever seen. Everything was peaceful on that day to most people's eyes. How long would things stay peaceful? No one knew or cared. Ah, but things are never peaceful forever...
Tucked away in the darkest corner of the digital world a plan was forming.
"Are you finished yet?" growled a menacing black figure with a long tail that cracked back and forth on the backs of the terrified creatures around it. One creature answered with his head pointed low.
"Almost, sir. Just another hour or two. Three at the most," he whimpered and squeezed his eyes shut in preparation for a beating. The dark figure smiled.
"Very good. If that is the case all of you shall get a day of rest and relaxation." The terrified creatures let their breath out gratefully, since they had expected the figure to go into a full rage. "What are you all standing around for? Get back to work." Quickly they followed his order and continued their tasks.
The dark figure stood watching them for a minute. He smiled. The machine was nearly completed. Now all they had to do was wait until it was and then they would put their plan into affect. As he walked down the torch lit hallways his thoughts kept returning to intended outcome of the plan. With each second that passed he grew almost giddy and let out a diabolical laugh. He didn't stop laughing until he came to the end of the hallway at the entrance of a dark doorway. The door was engraved with hundreds of ancient characters.
"Inam rarula!" he said in a powerful voice. The door suddenly started to creak open. In a very swift movement he was through the door with it locked behind him.
Through the door was a set of stairs that lead deeper into the ground. Silently he followed them until he was standing in front of a set of giant arched doors. These too were dark, but unlocked. Very silently and gracefully he pulled them open and stepped into a room. Three torches lighted the room. There was one on each wall except for the wall directly across from the figure who had entered.
"What news do you bring?" a deep, menacing voice asked.
"It will be ready in a few hours, my lord," the figure answered as he bowed on one knee.
"Very well. Prepare the troops. You have until it is finished to have those lazy bums in order, Yabunmon."
"Right away, my lord." With another bow Yabunmon left the room quickly and silently, ready to do his lord's bidding.
Pronunciation Guide:
Inam- ee-nahm
rarula- rah-rule-ah
Yabunmon- yah-boon-mon
Well? Does it seem okay so far? Should I continue? Actually, it doesn't matter unless it's completely horrible. I will finish it. It might take awhile because I'm still writting THE DIGIMON CHRONICLES and that's got a long ways to go. So. Yeah. Bye now folks!
