I woke up from my nightmare, I was Reaped, it was me. I slipped out of the bed I share with my sister, Katniss, and into my mother's bed, she always helped my nightmare go away.

When I probably out hunting for woke up again, Katniss was gone, probably out hunting for tonight's dinner. Then I noticed my mother wasn't next to me. She was most likely downstairs, waiting for Katniss to return home. I went downstairs to look for my mother, making sure that this was real and not another nightmare. When I got downstairs, I saw that my mother had laid out a blouse and a floral skirt for me to wear.

I found my mother in the kitchen, heating water for me to bathe in. Everyone must look their best for the Reaping.

Once I was finished getting clean, I out on the clothing, I think it was once my mother's, from when she was my age. I then braided my hair into two braids and went to show my mother how I looked.

I found my mother, she was still in the kitchen, but she was now cleaning the dirty dished from last night's dinner. "How do I look?" I asked flatly. She turned away from the sink and her face softened.

Then Katniss walked in and said, "Well, don't you look beautiful, but tuck in that tail, Little Duck." she then tucked in the back of my shirt that I always miss when tucking in my shirt in. I smiled, I always do when she calls me little duck.

Katniss and I were in the closed off area that all District 12 girls between the ages of 12 and 18 are held in for the Reaping. Effie, the District 12 escort was saying, "Ladies first, shall we, and May the Odds be Ever in your Favor." She then stuck her hand into the Reaping Ball and pulled out a slip of paper that had the unlucky girls' name on it who would be forced to compete in the Hunger Games. She read the name "Primrose Everdeen" Me. I took a deep breath and began to approach the stage. Suddenly, from behind, I herd Katniss screaming "I volunteer, I volunteer as tribute!"

Everyone was silent in shock. "Well, it appears we have a volunteer," Effie said. "NO! NO!" I screamed as Gale carried me away. This was much worse than my nightmares.

(A/N: please review, it makes me happy. And yes, I am aware this is not exactly like the book or movie)
