A couple minutes later she recognized his smell. She could probably smell him from miles away. She smiled again at the thought of Danny telling her that he liked her and they'd kissed at the end of everything. Her smile grew a couple inches thinking about that. She finally located his scent from inside a closet. Sam frowned for a moment before opening the closer.
Inside the closet was Danny and Valerie. They were both kissing passionately and they didn't even hear her open the door. Her heart seemed to break in half and tears swelled up in her eyes, and she ran off, trying to get the scene out of her head. She couldn't get it out of her head, though. It was like a horror movie that kept on replaying in her head. By now tears were falling so fast, her vision was blurred. She ran outside and tripped over some dirt, leaving mud all over her face. As she ran, she didn't her that someone was following her.
Sam ran all of the way to the pier. It was her favorite place to relax and think. Sam gazed over the railing and stared at herself. Her eyeliner and lipstick was a blur on her face, her face wall all puffy and her eyes looked bloodshot. Twigs and leaves were caught in her hair. She sighed and tried to remove them from her hair, but then decided it would serve Danny right. She would march right up to him and smack him and then walked away. Sam tried to smile, but broke down in tears instead.
Someone tapped her on her shoulder. She turned around and saw Tucker there, looking at her. She tried to glare at him, but she just began to sob even harder. Tucker quickly wrapped her up in a bear hug.
"Everything will be all right," he said, in a soft voice.
Sam looked at him and spoke quietly ,"I don't know Tuck. Her broke my heart. Masking tape won't heal a heart. I don't think anything will." Anothet tear fell down her face and Tucker wiped it away.
"Nonsense. With time your heart will heal. I don't think he should have done that to you, but I'd give up on him so he doesn't hurt you again," said Tucker, looking straight into her eyes.
Sam nodded and pulled him into another hug. Shen then pulled away from him and wiped her face and removed everything from her hair. She nodded at him and hugged him once more. One, final tear ran down her face.
