He sat down, arms folded under his head, watching the gold and silver stars twinkle and glitter in the ebony black blanket covering the night sky. He sighed, thinking.
Thinking of Dawn.
The girl with the long blue-hair. The girl with the dark blue eyes, the eyes that were always expressing her mood: happiness, anger, sadness, disappointment, etc. The girl with the blue penguin pokemon, the brown bunny pokemon with cotton ears, the hyper electric squirrel pokemon the purple monkey pokemon with two hands for tails, the mammoth pokemon with the pig nose. The girl who had coordinated and powerful pokemon...
The girl who always wore the white hat with the pink pokeball logo; the hat he would like to take just to see her either laugh or be mad at him. The girl who always wore the long pink scarf; the scarf that hid her beautiful neck. The girl who wore the short pink mini-skirt; the mini-skirt that gave quite a sight (a sight he enjoyed) when the wind was to rise again.
She was Dawn.
And though she was not his (not yet anyway), he would like to think of her as someday being hers, though honestly, he wasn't sure why he wanted her to be his...
She was annoying, she cried too much, her skirt was too short, she liked the color pink. Pink. Oh, Arceus, why pink? He would ask himself. Because pink is the perfect color to go with that black tank top, white undershirt and midnight blue hair that fell over her shoulders so gracefully... She just wasn't right for him.
Yet...
She was strong, she was beautiful (wait... what?), she was an amazing coordinator, her pokemon were also strong, and she knew how to stick up for herself plus her friends. She was kind, she was smart, she was... everything wrong for him. She was the opposite of him.
They could never be. Never, never, never.
Never.
And yet... still..
Even though he knew the chances of her liking him, was a one out of ten possibility. It just couldn't be.
But, even so...
Even out of it all, her bubbly, outgoing, happy-go-lucky, optimistic personality... her crybaby and foolish, much too strong-headed ways.... He knew, he knew for sure, that one day, one day...
He wanted them to be together.
Which must have been the reason for... keeping a photograph of her in his wallet.
A photograph of the bubbly, cry-too-much, strong, annoying, beautiful, blue-haired, blue-eyed coordinator named Dawn... The one he wanted, the one he needed. The one he kept a photograph of in his wallet, that way... he could see her beautiful smile wherever he went, whenever he wanted...
