Sometime in the middle of the night, the bunk shook and Amanda felt herself torn from a strange dream that involved Finn in a boat in the middle of white water.
- Kingdom Keepers III: Disney in Shadow, Chapter 6
Amanda was standing on an island. At least, she assumed it was an island, because all she could see for miles was blue sky and what appeared to be water. But, as she looked down at the gentle waves lapping at her bare toes, she noticed that the water was not blue or even green; it was white. Not a cloudy white like milk, but it appeared to be either perfectly clear or else it was a kind of water that cannot be described. It was just…white.
Amanda did not have time to puzzle over the strangeness of her surroundings, however. She felt something tugging at her gaze, and looked up from her feet. Where there was only empty sea a moment before, there was a now a boat with a figure inside. Amanda could not make out who was in the boat, so she squinted. The moment she did, it was as if she had activated a zoom button on a camera, because she found herself able to see quite clearly and close-up who was in the boat. It was Finn.
With a start, Amanda stepped back, only to find that she was no longer on the dry land of the small island. She was falling into the white water, but was close enough to the side of the boat to pull herself into it. It did not waver as she climbed over the side, but was as steady as though it were cemented into the ground. After she was standing inside the small boat, she looked at Finn.
"Amanda," he said, in a voice that was very much his own, but very much not his own at the same time. She could not read his tone.
Amanda said nothing. She sat down across from him, and suddenly, the sky around them altered from robin's egg blue, to sunset orange. She found that she was unable to look anywhere else but into Finn's green eyes.
Suddenly, they were closer than before, almost nose-to-nose. Amanda had a flash of wondering why this was, but her mind became blank when Finn put a hand on her cheek. The next thing Amanda knew, she was kissing Finn Whitman.
The boat gave a wobble, turned over, and they fell into the white water.
Yeah I know it didn't really have a plot...but dreams aren't supposed to right? ^^
