Hearts of Iron
A girl named Nari Shuzaku ran next to a lake happily her eyes closed and stopped when she reached a bridge. She blinked a few times looking at the figure standing on the bridge. She soon recognized the figure as Sasuke Uchiha as she walked slowly up to him."Sasuke…what are you doing out here?" she asked him as she got closer but as she did Sasuke turned to look at her for a brief second then looked back at the lake." You go to the academy right?" he asked her. Nari was surprised he knew her she had always wanted to talk to him but was afraid of his clan at first. She wasn't a fan girl but she was just a little tomboy girl who had kind of found Sasuke as an inspiration.
Smiling Nari sat down next to him but she saw a look on his face that looked like anger. Nari remembered what her parents told her about Sasuke's clan and was astonished. Learning that Itachi was to blame she felt a little anger surge up inside of her. As she sat next to Sasuke who looked grimly at the water she thought back to when she told Naruto. She really wasn't supposed to hang out with Naruto for reasons she didn't' know but she enjoyed being with him.
"Hey Naruto!" she said as she sat down next to him on a swing at the playground. Naruto looked at her surprised that she was able to talk to him. "Nari should you really be here talking to me?" he asked with a sad look on his face as if he was afraid she would get hurt. "No Naruto but I wanted to talk to you anyway…." Nari replied looking at him." Did you hear about Sasuke's clan? I was really worried that Sasuke was hurt also but I went to seem him at the hospital when I heard he was there."Naruto gave her a weird look then turned away. Nari heard someone call her in the distance and saw her mom waving at her." Come on Naruto I want you to meet my mom!" Nari dragged him over and Naruto looked sadly up at the woman in front of him.
The Lady had sad but gentle eyes that looked at him. "Naruto Uzamaki am I right?" she asked. Naruto nodded then looked at Nari. "Oh Nari so you do have a little boyfriend don't you?" She asked her daughter winking at her. Nari shook her head really quickly then grabbed Naruto's hand." He is the only kid who didn't make fun of me when I fell the other day he even helped me up." Nari's mom smiled down at him."Naruto how would you like to come over our house for dinner my husband might not like it as much but at least let me thank you for being nice to Nari." Naruto's face lit up and he squeezed Nari's hand as they ran after Nari's mom who was leading the way.
Nari was jolted out of the flashback when she felt a big splash of water hit her. She looked at where Sasuke was once standing and noticed air bubbles coming up through the surface. Right then and there she knew it wasn't going to be easy for her to earn the friendship if he wanted revenge for his clan. Nari looked up at the Sky and she was startled when a wet hand touched her shoulder. She jumped and looked at the wet Sasuke who was giving her a weird look. Nari brushed his hand off her shoulder then waved goodbye as she ran from the bridge. Uchiha Sasuke.Someone who has lost more than I ever will like Naruto…I will become strong and make Naruto smile all the time and become strong enough so that I can one day win Sasuke's friendship. Turning down a path on the street she headed for her house a smile slowly spreading across her face.
