Chapter 1: I Am A Woman
My destiny was decided before I was born. When you're a
woman life is a matter of chance not choice.
Never a choice.
Your life is shaped by decisions that are not your own. It is the
form of slavery called being a woman. You are raised to serve your
father.You are sold then must serve your husband. You are not a
person but, an object.
Only an object.
The only obligation this object has is to serve her husband and
provide an heir. I hear , that in China if a girl is born she is
sometimes killed.... Maybe in the end , that is best. For she never
has to know the doom women must suffer.
Doomed to wait behind door wasting away until the man you
serve decides to visit. Your seclusion rotting you from the inside out.
Doomed to suffer
Suffering.....Buddhism teachs us that life is characterized by
suffering. Suffering can be created by desire....If this is so, my
suffering stems from my desire to be free.... Freedom is only a
deram, a secret wish, for I am just a woman. A wild bird in a cage.
I am called Kaya.
I am the soon-to-be- wife of the great Youkai Prince.
I am a woman.
