Warning: Possible Spoilers for Episode 1 of Volume 4

Four months after the fall of Beacon, Weiss stood in the training hall, poised, face still in concentration. Taking a deep breath in, exhaling softly, she tried again to summon the knight. A large snowflake glyph formed behind her, she thought about what she wanted, thinking back to the fight. Feeling a surge of power, the glyph spun faster, the air grew colder, a hand extended, but in the midst of her thoughts someone called to her.

"Miss. Schnee," the voice of an unnamed butler spoke, bowing.

Losing her focus, Weiss sighed, "Yes."

"Pardon the intrusion ma'am, but I have a letter for you from a Miss. Ruby Rose."

A wave of sorrow mixed with guilt laced her features. She didn't get the chance to say goodbye when her father swooped in suddenly to take her away. "I see, leave it there, I'll tend to in a moment," she replied with disinterest. Once the man bowed once more and left, Weiss picked up the letter and began to read, a soft smile curving her lips. On the front in Ruby's handwriting spelled out, to Weiss Schnee, Atlas.

Hey Weiss, it's Ruby though I guess you've already figured that out. Unless, this letter didn't get you, 'cause I didn't know where you lived. Then again, since you're a Schnee this should get you. I hope you're doing well after everything.

Anyway, Jaune, Ren, Nora, and I are currently traveling across Vale, to get to Mistral, fighting Grimm and going day by day all under the team name RNJR. Though Nora would rather call it JRRN, personally I prefer RNJR.

Yang is doing fine, still a little distant, but she'll get there. I miss you and Blake, I wish we knew where she ran off to and if she's ok after everything. Don't worry though Weiss, even though we're apart we're still a team and friends. Maybe when all is said and done we could be a team again.

I'll try to send you another letter soon, until then, take care of yourself, BFF.

Ruby.

Weiss reread the letter a few times rolling her eyes, smiling, frowning, and finally groaning, but secretly happy knowing Ruby is safe and still a dunce. Looking over the letters location, she made a decision to help her friends.

Before leaving the small village, where they had camped for a few days, Team RNJR entered a tiny weapons shop. "Alright team, let's get more ammo!" Ruby exclaimed. "Then food!"

The woman at the contour called out to them, "Hey girl in the red cloak. Are you Ruby Rose?"

Approaching the woman, Ruby responded, "Yes, that's me."

Reaching underneath the counter, she placed a box on top, "This is for you it was delivered a few days ago from the Schnee Dust Company. This note here said to give it to a girl in a red hood named Ruby."

"Um, thanks!" Ruby replied, taking the box. Stepping outside, she took a seat, opened the box to find it full of ammo for Nora's Magnhild, Ren's StormFlower, and her Crescent Rose. Examining the red carriages, she noticed they had fire, ice, and lighting symbols etched upon them. At the bottom sat a note marked with a snowflake glyph.

Opening it Ruby scanned the paper smirking. Try not to waste all this ammo you dolt. Do take care though, and I also miss you Ruby.

Gazing up at the sky able to see the shattered moon, Ruby said, "Thanks Weiss." Even though Team RWBY was separated for now they still looked at the same moon connecting them in spirit.

So, was just a quick little ficlet to get me back into writing for RWBY.
