"Someday, I would like to sleep in the flower bed."

Armin turned his attention away from the patch of beautiful flowers he was looking at, and saw a small girl wearing a red sundress walk up to him. She had (Hair Length) (Hair Colour) hair, that was falling in front of her face as she stopped beside him.

"Who knows. Maybe someday you will."

She leaned down and picked two flowers from the bed. They were daisies. Without saying a word, she took one daisy, and tucked it behind her ear. Then, she took the other daisy, and walked up to Armin. Brushing his long hair out of his face, she tucked it behind his ear.

"What was that for?"

The girl giggled slightly as she grabbed the boy's hands, and gave him a wide smile. The wind brushed through her hair, causing it to sway slightly as she laughed. She almost looked surreal to the young blonde boy, and he had to blink a few times to prove she was really there.

"Now we each have a daisy."

He looked at her, confused. He had just met her a few minutes ago, and he didn't even know her name, yet this girl was still treating him like they had been best friends since they were just babies. He decided to see where this was going, and opened his mouth to speak.

"Why do we both need to have daisies?"

The girl let go of his hands, and began to walk in circles around him, her hair flowing behind her, and the ruffles in her dress cascading backwards as she walked. The walk turned to a spin, and the spin turned to a little dance before she sat down next to him on a nearby bench.

"So that after we go our separate ways, we'll still have a little part of each other with us."

Her (Eye Colour) eyes shone. Armin still wasn't quite sure what the girl meant, but he touched the daisy lightly. He knew that even though he didn't understand it, this little girl had meant something when she gave him the daisy. If only he knew what that something was. Then he could be truly thankful.

"Thanks for the daisy."

…Extended Ending…

Armin watched as the beautiful girl stood by the flower bed. She had short blonde hair that was flowing in the wind. He knew her by name, but he highly doubted that she knew him. Her name was Krista, and she could very easily be considered his second love.

"Someday, I would like to sleep in the flower bed."

Krista turned her attention away from the patch of beautiful flowers she was looking at, and saw a short teenage boy wearing a Survey Corps uniform walk up to her. He had long blonde hair that was falling in front of his face as he stopped beside her.

"Who knows. Maybe someday you will."

And as Armin picked up two daisies, and tucked one behind his ear while placing the other one behind her ear, he knew that he was doing what the girl had wanted him to do all along. He was finding someone he wanted to get to know better, and in a way, he was making a promise.

Armin stayed friends with the little girl in the sundress. Even though he never saw her again.
