Parker and Hardison: Fifty Things

By: DemonClowSorceress

My first Leverage fic, and how appropriate that it's a Fifty Things installment as well! We all love Parker and Hardison, I know I do!

Disclaimer: Nope, I don't own Leverage.

#1 - Language

His tech explanations sometimes require Hacking for Dummies. Her words require a translator - except for him.

#2 - Harness

His eyes bugged out as he saw how far they were planning on dropping. His throat closed up when she admitted that the rig he was wearing had some "issues" with the carabiner.

#3 - Geek

It's his age, and no matter how many times he hears "Dammit, Hardison!" he knows he's the one to bail their butts out eight times out of ten.

#4 - Grifter

He overacts, she needs coaching. But they can still fool the ones that truly matter - each other.

#5 - Cute

She is adorable, Hardison thinks - in a socially awkward, somewhat dangerous, crazy-but-centered kind of way. But then again, Parker's one of a kind.

#6 - Bunny

He's always there for her, with bright eyes that seem to always understand what she'd going through and no words to comfort her.

#7 - Scheherazade

She didn't realize how much his music had touched her until she heard him practicing after the Moto job.

#8 - Annoyance

He always gets so annoyed when her part of the con requires her to flirt with other men. Jealousy was a bi-atch.

#9 - Fork

"Hardison, can I please stab him?" she hissed through clenched teeth as she reached for the utensil.

#10 - Hitter

Sometimes they overexaggerate their own abilities.

#11 - Fear

She can't breathe right until she sees him outside Turner Creek Bank alive and well. Even then, she has to keep touching him to make sure she wasn't really crazy, like Elliot kept saying.

#12 - Money

It's her favorite thing in the whole world simply because it doesn't have any intention of betraying her.

#13 - Gentle

For all her knowledge of breaking into secure buildings and stealing millions in art and jewels, it's hard to remember that she'd still just a child in mind and spirit.

#14 - McSweeny

He is sweet, but she knows it would never work. He just isn't what she's looking for.

#15 - Flute

Sophie shot her a warning look as the delicate glass in her tightening hand creaked. The last thing they needed while Hardison was trying to flirt information out of the mark's daughter was a jealous thief stabbing her.

#16 - Countdown

"Get out of there!" he screamed inside Lucille 4.0 across the street. "Parker!"

#17 - Insane

Nobody insults her like that outside of the team, Hardison thought angrily. Elliot was already cracking his knuckles and halfway out the door with Nate.

#18 - Damaged

She knew she was broken, but when he admitted that he liked how she turned out, it made something in her battered soul start healing.

#19 - Cupboards

Cereal and pretzals are two indications that you have a Parker in your home.

#20 - Prom

She had never gone to one, but as Hardison twirled her in her harness, Parker knew that this more than made up for it.

#21 - Refridgerator

Orange soda and gummy frogs are two signs that you have a Hardison in your home.

#22 - Call

When she finally got to a phone, his was the first number she punched in.

#23 - Thief

He stole something she never even knew she had that meant more to her than money.

#24 - Advice

Elliot knows it's serious when Hardison pulls him aside and asks what a good present for Parker would be.

#25 - Orphan

Parker thought she'd never belong anywhere. Then they appeared - Nate guiding her, Sophie teaching her, Elliot protecting her, and Hardison always beside her.

#26 - Pretend

Whenever they kiss for the sake of a con, Hardison always wonders if she feels the same spark he does.

#27 - Adult

He used to imagine his future when he was a teenager. But even his wildest dreams couldn't even begin to compare with what he'd become.

#28 - Locks

She's picked her fair share of locks and safes, so nothing is more secure than her own heart - until a certain dark-skinned hacker started poking around.

#29 - Brother

He finds her after the psychic job, clutching Bunny and crying into her pillow. The only thing he can do is listen.

#30 - Taser

"I got tired of my fist hurting," he said, stepping over the guard and ripping the tape from her wrists.

#31 - Mine

Archie was proud when he said, "You didn't need one. You went out and made your own."

#32 - Code

The day came that the keypad to her place was no longer opened by Sophie's real name.

#33 - Hacker

When she learns how to "pick" electronic locks, that's when Nate knows she's unstoppable.

#34 - Wonderland

When they had to hijack a virtual reality testing center, Hardison knew exactly what he could do to cheer her up.

#35 - Nicholas

"You're a devious little angel, aren't you?" he asked her after the Vatican CSI had cleared out.

#36 - Mastermind

When the con was blown and half the team was captured, it all came down to them.

#37 - Nana

When his foster mother called, Parker was the one who picked up the phone.

#38 - Jump

Jumping's fun. It's even more fun when you know someone's there to catch you.

#39 - Unbelieveable

Nate couldn't have guessed that the thief and the hacker could have ever gotten so close. Then again, Hardison was a genius and Parker was, well, Parker.

#40 - Store

He felt bad about not knowing this special day, so he took her to the one place he knew she'd love.

#41 - Mind

Nobody's sure how it works, but he likes indulging it whenever possible.

#42 - Emotions

She never really felt much before joining this team. She never felt this way before she met him.

#43 - Dream

It was like this, the team, was a wonderful fantasy that she never, ever wanted to wake up from. And that scared her worse than any nightmare ever could.

#44 - Training

"Make sure that they're completely random," she said for the tenth time as he fired up the grid.

#45 - Princess

He stopped breathing when he saw how beautiful Sophie had made her.

#46 - Weekend

"You are not casing banks on a gorgeous day like today. Come on Mama, let's take a walk."

#47 - Once

They all agreed that it was a one-time job. Then Dubenich tried to kill them, they banded together to exact revenge, and from that point, there was no turning back.

#48 - Love

Could someone like me l-lo...lo...have feelings for...someone like him?

#49 - Snow

This Christmas was one of the most incredible he's ever had.

#50 - Pretzels

It became a little inside joke with major implications between them. Until, of course, she realized exactly what she had to say.
