What if Cinderpelt's injury wasn't permanent?
Fireheart POV
One day, Fireheart was walking toward the warriors den when a familiar hyperactive gray fur ball rammed into him. The blob said, 'Sorry!' and raced off to Bluestar's den. He shrugged and picked his way to his nest.
Bluestar POV
A blob raced into my den, sending a flurry of sand and pebbles onto my nest. I coughed and asked, 'Who's there?' 'Its Cinderpaw!' the blob said. 'Wait. How'd you get here?' I asked. Cinderpaw stared. 'Walking. Any problem?' she asked.
My mind raced. Walking… cinderpaw… I sat up straighter and said, 'You're healed!' 'Actually, I was coming to that when you figured it out,' she explained.
A few sunrises later…
'I, Bluestar, leader of ThunderClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. She has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend her to you as a warrior in her turn.
'Cinderpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and to defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?'
'I do'
'Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Cinderpaw, from this moment, you will be known as Cinderpelt. StarClan honors your patience and determination, and we welcome you as a full warrior of ThunderClan.'
Cinderpelt smiled, as dozens of voices cheered her. She licked Bluestar's shoulder, and turned to face her clanmates.
