This Fine Day
Loretta's POV
I had dreamt of this day ever since I was a little girl. I had always been the bridesmaid at my friend's weddings, but today I was going to be the bride. It felt good. I had finally met someone who cared about me a lot, his name was Nick. Everyone always calls him Carbo but to Rita and I, Nick was the only name that we'd even consider calling him.
Most people don't think that love at first sight exists, but one that fine day when I met Nick, it was like the earth has stopped and we were the only ones in it. As I'm walking down the isle followed by my bride of honour Rachel and flower girl Ruby, I look straight at my husband to be. Suddenly my world is light up. I smile and He gives a huge smile back.
As I reach the altar, Ben comes up and gives his emotional speech. "To my best bud, my little brother per say, and his beautiful bride to be, I'm just so every happy to be here today. Retta has made Carbo just so happy over the last year, and as I stand here today I couldn't think of any more reasons for these two not to get married. I know Carbo is always going to be a bit of an idiot, but that's why we love him, that's why I've always loved him, as for Retta, well other than her annoying habit of telling us about how every single colour has its unique place in the world, I've grown to love her. She had become a new best friend for Mel before her unfortunate death, and what I guess I'm trying to say is that basically that even know Melissa isn't here today, that we are just so proud that our carbo has found a woman that he truly loves, we wish you many years of happiness".
Those words truly touched me, I felt honoured to have met Ben, and Melissa before her unfortunate death. I know how much Mel meant to Ben, and that's why im going to treasure all my memories with Nick, from now on. And yes he might film every second of our life as a married couple on camera, but it'll be worth it, because on this fine day, I am glad to have him, his family, friends and extended family.
