Sam tugged at her top and scowled at Cameron.
"Remind me again exactly why we're dressed like this," Sam said irritably.
Cameron smirked. "The General ordered us to keep our heads down while get the 411 on this kassa crop. We've gotta look like the locals."
"Fine, you wear the torsolette next time."
Cam stopped and looked Sam over. He shook his head. "Nah, I don't think I could do it justice."
"You're far too broad in the shoulders."
Sam and Cam turned to face the person behind them. Jack O'Neill stood there, a smirk on his face and his hands shoved in the pockets of his dress blues.
"Jack!"
Cam winced and snapped off a hasty salute. "General O'Neill, sir. I didn't know you where visiting."
"Budget matters with Hank. And he mentioned something about 'sweet corn heaven.'" Jack looked Sam up and down, making her squirm with embarrassment. "Did I miss the memo about any uniform change? Cause my secretary's pretty good with memos."
Sam grinned. "We're going undercover, kind of."
"Well, I like it." Jack shook his head. "All the fun stuff happens after I leave."
Cam frowned. Something was not right here.
"I seem to remember a certain blue dress catching your attention and that tank top."
"Yeah, but I prefer the leather."
Sam smirked.
"Now I know I missed something," Cam commented.
The crackling of the SGC speakers cut off any reply. "SG-1 to the gate room. SG-1 to the gate."
Sam frowned. "We have to go, Jack. We're due to leave in less than five minutes."
Jack raised an eyebrow. "Five minutes? So I almost missed the show, huh?"
"Almost."
Jack clicked his tongue. "Good timing then."
Sam leaned forward and pressed a firm kiss to Jack's lips. "I should be home tonight."
"I'll wait." Jack watched as Sam patiently steered a dumbstruck Cam towards the elevators. "Hey. Mitchell?"
Cam turned. "Yes, sir?"
"Take care of my wife."
"Wife!" Cam squeaked.
Sam glared at Jack. "C'mon, Cam. I'll explain on the way to the gate room." Sam swiped her card for the elevator and winked back at Jack. "So, Cam, are you going to 'take care' of me?"
Cam snapped out of his haze for a moment. "You'd kick my ass if I tried."
Sam smirked. "Why do you think he said it?"
Jack waited until the elevator doors closed. A smirk spread across his face and he breathed deeply. Carter in leather. Now there was an image.
"Yep, good timing."
Now if only he could convince her to hold onto it…
