a/n: This is an attempt at trying to figure out what Wordgirl could have been going through and thinking after her first encounter with Dr. Two-Brains in his hideout. I apologize in advance for the quality of writing or if any characters are OOC, this is the first fanfic that I have ever written.

DISCLAIMER: I do not, nor will I ever own WordGirl so all lawyers who think that I do have to leave.

Thoughts

After returning from what had to have been one of the hardest fights that she had ever had, Wordgirl changed back into her Becky persona after collapsing onto her bed in tears. She could not believe what she had just witnessed and experienced. How was it possible that the one person that she always counted on for help and support, other than her partner who could just watch her in silence, could have turned against her. Professor Boxleitner had always been her most trusted earthen confidante, the one that she could always turn to for help with her abilities or if there was a problem that she just couldn't solve on her own, he would always drop whatever he was doing and offer up a smile and whatever help he could. To think that he had been replaced by a villain who wanted the city's entire cheese supply was almost to much for her to handle.

After a while of crying, she finally turned to look at her partner and asked, "Bob, how am I going to handle this? I don't know if I can fight the Professor. He has always been like a rock for me to hang onto and my support, the one who taught me how to use my powers in the first place. How can I fight him after everything that he has done for me?" Bob looked at her sadly and communicated with her, in the way that only she could understand, reminding her that he wasn't the same Professor that she once knew and trusted that he was now the villainous Dr. Two-Brains. "I know that Bob," she said desperately, "I know that he will eventually break out of prison and I will have to face him again, but the professor is still in there, you heard him as well. I know he is still fighting and trying to get free, I just need to figure out how to reach him. But until I can find a way to reach him, we need to come up with some new battle strategies since it seems that Two-Brains possesses all the Professor's memories on how we fight. I never want to get into a situation like we were just in again. I hate to think on what would have happened if TJ wasn't there to help bust us out of that trap."

With this new resolve to save the professor burning inside her she set herself to her new task, coming up with her own brand new battle tactics that would hopefully aid her in saving who once was one of her closest friends from his worst enemy, himself.

I had come across this show a while ago, and I was intrigued by the interactions between WordGirl and Dr. Two-Brains, along with his previous self. Eventually I got to thinking, what must she have gone through when she found out that she had lost the one who had been her teacher in the superhero ways, and so this probably sub-par story was born.

Review, if you want, and tell me what you thought of it, and I hope you enjoyed the ride at least a little.
