Nic's Dream Time

My friend Nic asked if I would write some short poems about childhood and growing up, this is the first instalment, Nic, I hope you and everyone else enjoys it.

Nic's Dream Time

I had fun dreams last night whilst I slept

It was great fighting the Giant Fish, dressed in my slippers and vest

I won the battle to rapturous applause

The Zebra, The Monkey's The Dinosaur's

Everyone clapped, the cheers, the noise

As I stood on a rock, hands raised, in front of my toys

I felt like a King with all that were before me

My Cars, My Lego, this is my story

It's great being this small, the child that I am

I love my sleep and the counting of lambs

I can't wait for each nights great plays

My youthfulness, my fun filled days

But sleep is where my friends do rest

I love all of my Teddies, my bed and my vest.
