Chapter I: I am Tyler's Willing Body
Tyler Durden is not a real person.
Tyler Durden is a figment of my imagination.
But sometimes things need to get done, and Tyler's just the right person to do them. Like threaten clerks into becoming veterinarians with an unloaded semiautomatic, or read the rules of fight club to some new bastard in such a tone he nearly wets his soon to be bloody pants. Sometimes Tyler needs to beat the shit out of anyone he comes across just for the thrill of knowing that he can do whatever the hell he wants. Sometimes he needs to call up Marla and make her scream his name so loud the whole house shakes. Sometimes he needs to hop electrical fences just to make his heart race or charm an important business person for a little extra cash he doesn't even need. All of this, he does with a smile and a wink. Because he is Tyler Durden.
And whatever the hell Tyler needs to happen, gets done.
