THE DREAM
One night I dreamt an unknown girl,
Stood before a smelly bog.
Clutched to her breast, unaware of events to come,
She held a scruffy dog.
Out of the bog two crocodiles appeared,
And looked greedily towards the dog.
The dog buried itself within the girl,
As she advanced towards the bog.
It's body turned rigid with fear and despair,
It's jaw dropped down so low.
It turned to plead with the blonde haired girl,
But she did not want to know.
With a splash of their tails, the dog was gone,
As I struggled to find some meaning.
It was cruel, it was savage, it was brutal and callous
What was it that I had been dreaming?
It seems so unfair that something so good,
Could be sacrificed in this bloody way.
I must take better care of whatever it is,
I seem to be throwing away.
