Hello everyone! Welcome to another "Me-watching-a-movie-much-later-than-it-comes-out-and-I-write-a-Oneshot-about-it-now" episode! Today we have the quite good film "Thor" and its most interesting character, Loki! What ran across his mind jsut before he let go of the spear at the end of the movie? This, at least in my opinion. R&R please!

No, Loki

- I could have done it! For you! For all of us!

-… No, Loki.

That's it? That's IT?! "No, Loki"?! Seriously?!

But he hoped… he really hoped with all of his heart that with these kinds of actions he would finally get the recognition he had been longing for during his whole life. Thor had gotten his father's full attention just for killing a couple of Frost Giants… and also restarting a war.

Oookay, that may have been a big one, but he had done far more! He saved his fa—Odin from Laufey, even killed the king of the Jotuns, and almost erased Asgard's biggest enemies from the branches of the Worlds Tree Yggdrasil. He almost… he almost made history there.

He knew from the first moment of Thor's return that he would not get away with this. He had lied far too much to get away with this. Even if his fa—Odin hadn't woken up. But now the old king was here and for a second it raised his spirit, it gave him hope. He had expected his "father" to pull them up somehow onto the Bifrost… or whatever left of it, and then, when he starts defending himself, either Thor or Odin would gave him a slap so powerful it would make him turn around on his heels or something. Then Odin's head would turn purple and he would start bellowing and would banish him from Asgard so fast it would make his head spin around for days. Maybe he would end up on Midgard as well or hell knows.

So instead of all of this what did he get? Two words: "no" and "Loki". No more, no less.

Gee, thanks a lot.

All of his hard work and intriguing, every single conflict he had caused was thrown out through the window by two measly words.

Odin had always been this close-mouthed towards him. Even when he discovered what kind of misbegotten little freak he was, his "father" cleared it up all nice and fast: "Oh, and by the way, you are the handicapped son of the king of the frozen toad-skinned, heartless monsters. But don't let that discourage you at all." Had Thor been in a similar situation, Odin would have spent an entire week explaining it and making his son feel better.

And now? What will happen now? They will probably pull him up onto the bridge, beat him up, embarrass him, take his powers away, most likely throw him in jail for some time. Everyone will laugh at him then forget it all happened. Everything will turn back to normal. He will once more lurk across the corridors of Valhalla like a shadow. Only this time more would look at this shadow with hatred and disgust.

Well… this won't happen. This. Won't. Happen.

Never again. He had had enough with always trying and always failing to gain some respect. If he couldn't provoke Odin even with these actions then… all hope was lost. He had no longer had anything to do here. He wanted attention not to be a target of mock.

He would rather die.

I got the idea from the trolls all over the Internet these days. They do everything just to get you pissed off (and they make a good job too), but if you can actually ignore them by some miracle and not giving a crap about what they say, that hurts them more than any swearing and offence you can think of.

Loki is like this as well. He just wanted others to pay attention to him even if it's very negative and he would have done anything to get out of his brother's shadow.

Okay, personal observation over. I hope you liked it. :)
