Glitter
(Third person perspective on the indie game "Gone Home")
The two girls sat at the edge of the bed, in silence. One waiting for the other to talk, Sam, the one with blonde hair and green eyes, a black t-shirt over a long white sleeved, and black skinny jeans with black and white converse, stereotype: tom boy. Lonnie, red hair, brown eyes, a black t-shirt with a skull on it, blue studded short shorts, black and white converse, walkman in one hand and headphones around her neck, stereotype: punk.
"Lonnie, do you think you could e-ever-" Sam stopped halfway through her question, feeling the soft lips against her chapped ones. Sam thought she could feel her lipstick, it almost felt like that anyway. Lonnie stopped and pulled away "Wow" Sam's mouth was a little bit open, almost as if she was craving more. Lonnie on the other hand looked guilty. As if she did something wrong.
"Sam, I-I'm so sorry, I didn't..." Sam then grabbed a hold of Lonnie's waist and kissed one more time. This kiss wasn't rough, or dirty, it was passionate. Sam stopped and pulled back and smiled and Lonnie, Lonnie did in return.
"Don't apologize, it's okay," Sam said softly, she then sat up off the bed and gestured Lonnie to follow her "Come on, follow me!" Lonnie got up and ran and followed her outside the room. They were walking side by side, as they reached the front door leading outside into the beautiful artistic night. Sam went to the side of house and walked a dark dirt path that lead to red ladder leading up the house going to the rooftop. They climbed up to the roof, and lay down on the black shingles.
Staring at the night sky. It looked as if it was painted by Van Gough, millions of stars white, silver and dark ocean blue, with dark gold highlights swirling in circles.
"Wow, it's beautiful." Lonnie said under her voice. "The stars, all different colors, and the gold, it looks like..." Lonnie paused a long while.
"Glitter." Sam finished her sentence.
