A/N: There's not to many Emma stories out there so I thought I would give it a try.
It's a different take on Emma's life.
Disclaimer: I don't own Emma, that all belongs to Jane Austen.
Emma Woodhouse had spent the last five years fixing old wounds and up until two days ago she thought she could bury the past and that her heart was healed.

Two days ago:
"Emma!" Her father Henry Woodhouse called from the library.
"Yes father?" Emma asked walking into the library.
"I have the most wonderful news!" He smiled, thinking this daughter would be as thrilled as he was, "Mr. Knightley, George Knightley is moving to Donwell Abbey!"
All Emma could do was stand there in shock. She felt like throwing up. The past was coming back to get her.
"Emma are you not well?" Her father asked at seeing her face turn a light shade of green.
"Father, whatever I eat this morning seems not to be agreeing with me all of a sudden. I think I'm going to go up to my room and lie down." She said taking deep breathes.
"Oh yes! Go of course. I'll be up later to check on you. Do feel better Emma dear." Her father said watching his daughter hurry out of the room. He hoped she wasn't coming down with something.
Emma practically ran up the stairs to her room. She almost fell twice tripping on her dress. Once in her room she shut the door and slide down it. The tears started to fall as her bottom touched the floor.
"Dear god." She whispered putting a hand over her mouth to muffle her crying.
Emma Woodhouse had spent the last five years fixing old wounds and up until today she thought she could bury the past and that her heart no longer held the feelings that were rushing back to it.

Emma had played sick the past two days, saying it must be a bug and that she would be better soon enough.
She lay in her bed on her side now watching the sun go down outside her window. Emma tried not to think of that horrible week five years ago but as she lay there in the same position as that awful day she couldn't help but to remember.
A/N: Thanks for reading.
I'm sorry if there are any spelling or grammar mistakes. I'm really getting better at it.
Next Chapter is longer. I'm working on Chapter 3 now.
