Livio doesn't know Vash very well, but it's obvious he's not the type to dwell on much. In spite of that, he moves to his past in a forward motion.
They don't know each other that well, and Livio still thinks about Wolfwood a lot. Fighting him had seemed like such a good idea at the time. The whole event left him wallowing in nostalgia. He wished he could just keep moving forward, like Vash.
Except that Vash falls into a silence sometimes and can't get out. He sits with his face in his hands, breathing with purpose. Like he's drowning.
In those moments, Livio will suck on his finger and then stick it in Vash's unprotected ear. He thinks about calling him "crybaby Vash", or something, but the wet willy is all it takes to send Vash screaming like a little girl, his arms flailing.
Livio laughs. At least, it feels like laughter.
