THE THING #1

On warm night in New York City Ben Grimm aka The Thing along with Luke Cage are ringside in Madison Square Garden preparing to watch an exhibition boxing match.
Thing: Thanks for coming with me Luke .
Luke Cage: No problem Ben it's been sometime I've been in the garden.
Thing: I'd take Johnny but…
(Luke places his hand on Ben's shoulder)
Luke Cage:Hey Ben...brother we all miss him. I know you two were close, minds me of Danny and me. But he's still with you brother but for now let's enjoy this bout.
Thing: You're right.. so I tell ya Luke this fighter from Japan. This guys got some serious power.
Luke Cage: Didn't think Japan was big into boxing.
(Just before the fighter were about to come to the ring a couple of fans approached Luke and Ben and asked for pictures. Luke and Ben take pictures before the match started. Soon the boxers begin to come to the ring Ben points out the Japanese boxer to Luke.)
Luke Cage: Wow! He's pretty short
Thing: Don't knock him cuz of his size,Luke.
( The Japanese boxer had black,shaggy hair, and his body for a short man was extremely muscular. Next the boxer entered the ring he was about the same build as the Japanese but a little taller. He was bald had tanned skinned,with a black goatee he looked Latino.)
Luke Cage:This is featherweight, right ?
Thing: Yea.
(The ring announcer introduces the two boxer. The two boxer approach the referee and get the instructions. Soon the two boxer return to their corners. The bell rings and the two boxer come out of their respective corners ready to fight.)
Thing: Yo Luke are you seeing what I see with the Japanese kid.
Luke Cage: Wow! Old school stance peek-a-boo. Whoever trained this kid knows their thing.
Thing: Told ya
(The Latin boxer was very aggressive but the Japanese pressed forward calm and patience bobbing and evading his opponent. However soon the Japanese boxer evasions stop and soon he lands several effective hay-makers and his opponent falls)
Luke Cage: Sweet Christmas that was the Dempsey roll! Damn this kid is damn educated in boxing.
Thing: Didn't I tell ya this guy is good.
Announcer: And winner by knockout ladies and gentlemen….The Wind God..Ippo Makunouchi!
(The crowd cheers and the winner Ippo bows in respect to them.)
Thing: Didn't I tell you Luke that Ippo is something.
Luke Cage: You weren't lying his nickname is pretty good to The Wind God. Thanks for the invite Ben again.
Thing: Anytime Luke. So you hungry? I know a place who makes super stuff hero sandwich.
Luke Cage:I can go for that.
(The two exit the arena soon Luke's phone rings)
Luke Cage: (on phone) Hey babe. Yea still with Ben. The fight was cool,yea Ben is good. She crying aww this is a job for daddy I'm coming home.
(Luke puts his phone away turns to Ben.)
Thing: It's okay Luke go be a father.
Luke Cage: Thanks brother hey your poker game still on next month.
Thing: You bet see you there tell Danny and the others.
(Luke Cage departs as Thing looks on till Luke is too far to see. Thing begins heading to his destination but suddenly hears screaming. Ben runs towards the screams,he stops one of the screaming civilians.)
Thing: Hey,pal what's going on?
Civilian:Oh Thing, gunfire! Help
Thing: Don't worry you get out of here!
