CHAPTER ONE

Time meant nothing to me. It was just as precious as a penny to a multimillionaire. To me, it was as if i had gone through countless 'playbacks' of centuries. My world was like a dull, black place devoid of anything whatsoever. My eyes were used to the darkness, nothing could ever harm me except light. It was until a meteor came ripping through my quiet little world. Soon, my whole world was full of light, so bright that it was as if everything had gone up in flames. The meteor was hope. Hope for a better world, a brighter, yet not as dull, little world that i belonged in. When the blinding light died out, it was as though the dull, black world i once belonged and live in was gone. My eyes couldn't get used to the darkness after the light had passed through me.

" Good Morning, my name is Evangeline Mcdowell." I introduced myself to my new classmates. I walked to the back of the class, my blond hair tied up into a perfect chignon. I wanted as little attention brought to me as possible. I could never fit into this class -definitely not this school- and probably never will. Time passed quickly -nothing had changed for the past hundred years- soon, it was time for our lunch. At the canteen, i realized that i wasn't the most outstanding pupil among them. There was a tall, causcasian teenager - more to the man he was going to be than a child-his skin so pale that it could blend into a marble wall( are there such things???). His eyes were a vivid green colour, his hair arranged in a somehow messy yet neat at the same time kind of array.

"Who is that?" I asked the one friend i had managed to make.

"Who? That tall guy?" She pointed at him.

"Um........Yes?"

" His name is ___________( i haven't decided yet........definitely will next chap.)His family just moved from Greenland last year. Their pretty rich -and stingy- and own cars that i'm sure costs way over the principal's"

"Okay." I said as i absored it all."Thanks."

Basically, my idea was to walk straight up to him-it didn't matter that he could haul me up and toss me away at the looks of his well-toned arms. I keep my promises and to me, this was a promise.
