The sort of voiceless, awkward silence swelled in the spaces between the two boys as they sat side by side. They stayed quiet while dangling their skinny black limbs off the edges of a tower that stood out of the side of their castle. Demyx with his blue eyes and funny hair, had his fingers criss crossed over his lap and began to sweat with uncertainty. His thigh was plastered against Xigbar's hip and it made his mind bustle with uncertainty. Was he too close? Did Xigbar mind? Why wasn't he talking? Demyx gulped down his nervousness and leaned forward, trying to hide the fact was wanted too see the other's face in attempt to understand his thoughts.

The sharpshooter looked lost in his own world, unusually calm and reserved as his hair hung unbound by his cheeks. The eternal teen stared and noted a ring of brown around the innermost part of Xigbar's eyes. It was a wierd and misplaced quirk on the features of Xigbar's 'disfigured' face. He liked it though.

"Hey Demyx." The blond twitched and noticed Xigbar had turned to him. Uh oh. Did he notice him staring? He fought down a shakey sound and laughed it off.

"Yeah?"

"I noticed we're like pee bee and jay." A prick of excitement danced on the back of Demyx's neck.

"How are we like a sandwhich?"

"Well, yanno, when you open a pee bee and jay," he paused and made sure the jittery rocker followed his train of thought. The guitarist nodded and urged him on. "- When you open it, the jelly is in the peanut butter and the peanut butter has gone and mixed itself with the jam. We're like that. You can't get one with out gettin' the other." Xigbar finished and brushed back a web of black that covered patch. Demyx wasn't about to question what would happen if someone would separate the peanut butter from the jam after opening the sandwhich because there was no need to. He knew the jam would be lonely and cold without the peanut butter and the peanut butter would be thick and stubborn without the jelly.

A pee bee and jay sandwhich was a perfect mix. Like them.

Unexpectedly, Xigbar pushed away the stray fronds of his blonde hair and smirked. "I think you'd be the jelly." Demyx snorted and tugged the front of the man's coat foreward, kissing the corner of his mouth lightly. Xigbar wasted no time and evolved the light peck into a smooch that made Demyx grin.

Good thing he had a peanut butter and jelly sandwhich for lunch.

random and fluffy.
