"Where to, Captain? We have, well, forever. Not too many ships really go down, not as many as you may thing. Of course there are the Pirates who are thrown overboard or captives who walk the plank. We might not have a whole lot to do for a long, long while." Bootstrap spoke to his son, Captain of the Flying Dutchman. William Turner held the wheel and looked out to sea.

"I miss her already. She's my whole world. Without her nothing really matters. How did things turn out like this? What did we do to deserve this?" William was more then a little bitter about having no choice but to take Davy Jones place as Captain of the Flying Dutchman.

"William, this wasn't your choice or hers. The only other choice you had was death. Jack saw a way to get you out of that fate and saved you, true, it may not be the way you wanted to be saved but you were saved none the less. If Jack hadn't done what he did you and Elizabeth would have been separated forever. At least this way you get to see her." Bootstrap tried to reason with William

"I can't see her for TEN YEARS! Ten bloody years! I cant live without her." He turned to his father, "Though I wont exactly call this living."

"You're a strong man, William. You are going to make it and you will see Elizabeth again. She will wait for you, she loves you with all her heart. You and her are eventually going to be together forever. She's the Pirate King! She will survive without you despite missing you. She'll be waiting for you when you return, I promise you."

"I know. I know she'll be waiting. I know that she loves me and I know I love her. I just hate not getting to see her everyday. I hate not waking up next to her. I hate that we aren't even in the same world! She's gone or, really, I'm gone. I'm practically dead for goodness sake!"

"You can do this. You will do this. Now, if I'm not mistaken we have a job to do. A ship just went down in the Persian Gulf." Bootstrap told William who was so busy venting he hadn't realized that a ship had indeed just gone down.

"Right. Hoist the mass! Check the rigging and let's set sail!" William ordered his crew which consisted of Bootstrap and a few previous members of the British Royal Navy as well as a few Pirates. Bootstrap relayed the orders to the crew and they were off. William felt the wind in his hair and looked out to the sea. He tightened his grip on the wheel and checked this course. It was going to be a long, long ten years…

This is my first posted story! I hope you liked it. I know it's short. I wanted to show Will's feelings after the green flash. I was a little disappointed in the ending of POTC III. I was ready to kill the scriptwriters and producers. I also really want to turn Davy Jones into Calamari and feed him to my sister. (I would eat him except I'm allergic to seafood but not fish… not that anyone cares )
