Taking Down the Crimson Ploy
Hisui sat in her office rapping her nails on her desk. She had sent her captain out a week ago to get more information on the guild that was Crimson Ploy and now she was waiting to hear from him. It was taking too long. This was the guild that made a fool out of her and she hated it. Her communication lacrima began to lightly chime then and she rushed to answer it, hopeful that the person on the other end was the captain she was waiting to hear from and not another noble wanting something from her. To her great pleasure it was the captain and a wave a relief visible washed over her.
"Captain what do you have for me?"
"Well, I have something very interesting for sure. I went back to the Foudre house to see what I could gather from there and something very interesting popped up. Only one set of footprints around the outside barrier of the estate. So, I decided to dig a little deeper and I got the magic hound out there you're going to love this. The entire time we saw someone in front of us, as we suspected no-one was there. It was illusion magic. No one entered the property. The runes dropping, the bombing, everything. Illusion magic. We suspect that party goers were tagged as they entered, and family members tagged as they left the barrier, so they were susceptible to the illusion.
"With that information we send the hounds on the trail we discovered, and we found out something even more interesting. No Crimson Ploy guild hall, no large amounts of dark wizards. None of it that we would expect with a dark guild in the making. What we did find is a campsite that would have been used by a single person, fire still warm and everything. Yet no person. So, we sent out feelers out and we picked up some interesting information from our neighbor Bosco.
"They recently sent over an illusion mage via the refugee program from the war in Alvarez. Fifteen, red hair red eyes. Name is Dela. However, between there and here the ship was attacked by pirates. Unlike most refugee transports this one was only protected by rune nights, not rune knight and guild mages. The mages were spread too thin to assist. The transport was concluded to be lost at sea. We just received a picture of the girl from the refugee transport and it matched the description of the illusion we saw at the party. Want me to dispatch the guard?"
Hisui interlocked her fingers and brought them to her chin resting her head on it. If this girl was a refugee, then this Crimson Ploy thing was more then likely a way for her to attempt to feed and clothe herself not a legitimate attempt to start a dark guild. However, it must still be made clear that it was not acceptable.
"Yes Captain, however bring her to me. Do not bring her to ERA."
"Yes, your majesty."
The image of the Captain faded and Hisui closed her eyes before calling the one person she knew could help this girl. He picked up after only a few seconds.
"Hello Princess."
"Hello Makarov."
