"Hitomi….Hitomi….Hitomi…." the air seemed to whisper as the wind gently caressed her jacket bound figure. She sighed as she stopped at the foot of a cherry blossom tree beside a tombstone. She bent down as she put the cherry blossoms at the grave and stood up and said, "Oh Von it's been 3 years…3 long years since you went with the angels and I miss you so much and I still love you with all my heart but baby if you're listening, why did you have to leave me so soon. So soon, with little Varie, oh baby! I wish you're here to see little Varie. She looks so much like you, so much that it reminds me of you. Babe I hope you're happy wherever you are." The wind blew its freezing breath on her as she hugged her jacket closer to her petite figure. "Mom!" a small girl of 4 ran to Hitomi, her long raven black hair blown by the breeze and eager red eyes sparkling. Hitomi smiled at her daughter and said, "What is it Varie?" Varie opened her palm and lying in her palm were 2 pure white feathers. She gasped as astounded as she can be, she asked, "Where did you get this dear?" as she gently picked up the beautiful white feather. Varie smiled, her smile, amazingly like her father's and said, "This nice man in white gave it to me. He said I should give the other one to you. And he looked just like dad and he had beautiful white wings! And he said that I should tell you that he loves and misses you too and that he'd always be at our side and he told me that I should be a good girl always so you would be happy then he kissed me and ruffled my hair and you know what mommy?" she weakly asked, "What dear?" "He just disappeared but on the ground he stood, feathers and cherry blossom petals were everywhere." She gasped as tears came trickling on her cheeks. She hugged Varie as she wept. Varie surprised said, "Mommy did I do something wrong? I'm sorry if I took something from a stranger! I promise I won't do it again!" Hitomi smiled tearily at her daughter and said, as she gently wiped her tears away, "Oh Varie! It's not that, it's nothing! It's alright that man was not a stranger. I know that man and you know him too." Varie smiled and said, "Who is it mommy?" Hitomi said, "I'll tell you when your older, when you're able to understand," as more tears came. Hitomi wiped her remaining tears and smiled tearily as she said, "Let's go home baby!" as she gently clutched her daughter's hand and walked home, as the cherry blossom petals begin to fall down creating a down pour of cherry blossom petals.
