Clary eyed herself up and down in the bathroom mirror. Her mother had been right. Well, she was always right, but she was very right this time. Her hipless body had taken shape and her once childishly freckly face had become almost regal.
Clary put on a faint smile and flirted with her reflection, then rolled her eyes at herself. She was becoming too much like Izzy. There was barely enough room for one Izzy.
Her brief up-feeling quickly dropped as she remembered what her reason for being in the bathroom for so long was.
Taking a drawn out breath, clary turned around and slowly opened the bathroom door. Having heard the noise of the door Jace had stood before clary had even had a chance to look outside.
Jace face was like an expectant child's, slightly curious bet trying to look as mature as possible.
Deciding to put on a brave smile, clary looked him the eye and gave him a brief, succinct nod.
He stared at her for what felt like hours, but, finally deciding that a nod was good, he broke into the biggest grin clary had ever seen.
