I've Been Waiting For You Labyrinth fanfic readers and writers. I have come to dicuss the sickness we all have. It is called thecurseofthelabyrinthitis. Why do we have this sickness? I'll tell you why! Because we cannot deal with the fact that Sarah defeats Jareth at the end of the first movie and that's that. We just can't! So we write and read about it don't we. We're constantly searching for the best Labyfanfic story Day-In Day-Out. One that says - This is the one, this is what the sequel would be like. We cannot accept the fact that Sarah and Jareth will never see each other again. We're always asking questions about the movie. "Why why why did she reject him!" we say. Well, after all she was Under Pressure to get her brother back. But still we attempt to write a countless number of stories trying to get them together.
Some stories try and make Jareth out to be some kind of Fae who needs a queen by his side. Always showing her what she could gain from his Crystal, Japan seems like a nice country doesn't it. Anyway and then he always says to her "Be My Wife, Be My Wife!" She's Sixteen for pete's sake. With all those hormones and tantrums she would be a Queen Bitch. Well she's always been a bit of a Rebel Rebel hasn't she. She justs needs to Chilly Down a little.
Other stories try to be really scary using creatures like Joe The Lion, Rupert The Riley and Karma Man. I don't know how she'd dare face all of those Scary Monsters (And Super Creeps)! Actually, in the movie there was hardly anything scary in the Underground; A fox, a friendly giant and doorknockers! What will they have next a Laughing Gnome!
Some people have problems with the first movie. That's why they try to write sequels. They don't like the fact that she wore Blue Jean's all the time. That is why they make up new stories, to try an experiment with her Fashion sense. And what about when she broke that bubble in the masquerade. Surely Breaking Glass would leave her with allsorts of cuts and bruises.
Some people hate Sarah. So they try and find other girls for Jareth to fall in love with. But in the end it never works out. After all Lucy Can't Dance, Janine is Unwashed And Somewhat Slightly Dazed and Julie looks Like A Rolling Stone. He would have been better off with a China Girl. Why he's so in love with Sarah - God Only Knows.
But for most of us the two leads are the true "Heroes" of the story. Sarah - the Growin' Up girl who has An Occasional Dream about the Labyrinth, and Jareth - the Man Who Sold The World just to be a Prisoner Of Love. At the end of the day it's a Sweet Thing. It's like a classic story of Beauty And The Beast; the ordinary girl who ends up Loving The Alien.
