For once, Kagome was the last one awake, instead of the first one asleep. Sango and Miroku were sleeping a safe distance apart, but still quite close. Shippo had made himself at home in her sleeping bag, and Inuyasha was lying under a tree, as usual.

I wanna sleep on the hard ground

In the comfort of your arms

On a pillow of bluebonnets

In a blanket made of stars

Kagome blushed as she thought of Inuyasha. She walked over to 'his' tree, and sat next to him. He looked so sweet when he was sleeping. Like a little child. He was far sweeter than he would ever admit. She stroked his face gently.

Inuyasha slept on. It was amazing. He was amazing. He had saved her so many times. Inuyasha was more than just a crush. She loved him. And always would.

Kagome lifted Inuyasha's head onto her lap, stroking his face.

Inuyasha rolled over, not noticing that his head resided on Kagome's lap.

Kagome got up, and gently put Inuyasha's head back on the ground. "I guess my feelings are still a secret." She said, starting to walk back to her sleeping bag. But she was stopped by Inuyasha's voice. "No. They aren't. And mine shouldn't be, either."
