Pokemon history was her passion. She would stay up all night learning about it. It was so interesting; How the world came to be, the different legendary pokemon all facinated her. She and a few other students were the only ones that actually paid attention during history class. Not that it was a very important subject in school, but she loved hearing about it.
When she read, Cynthia seemed to be in a trance. Not fazed by her surroundings until the lunch bell sounded. There was only one other person like her, Steven Stone. She thought he was an interesting guy, intellectual like herself but had this cool personality that alot of the popular girls liked. Concentrating on the book, she didn't think about anything else until a shadow appeared on her book.
Turning around, she saw Steven standing right behind her. His silver eyes seemed to see right through her, causing her to cringe internally.
"Um hi?" Cythia spoke timidly
"Is the seat next to you taken?" He replied cooly
"No" She went back to reading again, letting her long hair hide her blush. She wasn't interrupted until the bell sounded and proceeded to pick up her stuff. Noticing that she had dropped her bookmark, she bent down to pick it up. What she didn't expect was what Steven did next.
Steven slyly slipped a piece of paper into her book. Cynthia lifted the book and the piece of paper fell out. Confused, she picked it up. It read "Admit one Saturday 7:30 - 11:30 PROM" Her eyes widened at this and flipped it over and read the little post-it note at the back, "Look up" She followed the instructions and saw Steven, on one knee, hands wide open.
"Would you go to the dance with me?"
Not knowing what to say, she nodded her head. Steven seemed surprised by this. He stood up, hugged her and dragged her to their next class. For the whole of the lesson, Cynthia's mind was repeating this one phrase, "I was asked to the dance!"
Sneaking a glance at Steven, she smiled. Her prom was going to be with Steven!
