Juliet
Juliet Capulet, who was ever so beautiful,
Met Romeo Montague, the son of her father's sworn enemy.
Having only known each other for a night,
They decided to get married the very next day
Without their parents knowing.
That very day after they married,
Tragedy struck.
Tybalt had threatened Romeo and
Mercutio, Romeo's friend,
Fought with Tybalt, until Mercutio fell dead.
Romeo avenged Mercutio by killing Tybalt,
Whom he had sworn to love since he and Juliet were married.
And for it, he was exiled from Verona and sent
To Mantua.
Juliet's father, unaware that she and Romeo
Had been married, arranged her to marry the Count Paris.
Juliet, not wanting to marry Paris, went to Friar Laurence
For a solution.
The friar gave her a sleeping potion that would make her
Look dead and the friar would send a letter to Romeo
And she would be taken away to Mantua with him.
Before she took the potion, that very night when she
Had pretended to agree to marry Paris,
She had second thoughts about whether it was
Poison or not.
After she drank the potion and was
Mourned by her family,
Romeo arrived in Verona,
Believing Juliet was really dead.
After whispering that he loved her,
He took the poison that he had brought at Mantua
And died.
Juliet awoke after he died and
She tried to take the poison
By kissing Romeo on the lips,
But alas there were none on his lips.
Hearing someone coming, she took Romeo's dagger and said:
"O happy dagger! This is thy sheath;
There rust and let me die."
After saying this, she stabbed herself and died
Along with Romeo.
