As Captain Cadius strode onto deck that morning. He realized that his ship, The Wolf Queen's Revenge was within reach of docking in Solitude.
"Good morning captain, well I can say without a doubt we made progress in the night. Through my telescope, I can see the arch on which solitude lies." Exclaimed Quartermaster Rhodis, who was head of deck operations on the ship.
"Yes, we did make progress indeed, but now there is a slightly large setback, these waters are filled with corsairs and marauders. I expect you've heard of Captain Hargar and his Blackblood marauders." Said Cadius, who was now looking a little anxious of what lied ahead.
"I have heard of them, I also have reason to believe they are very dangerous and armed more highly than a group of angry giants" Rhodis remarked. Their conversation was interrupted by the sound of footsteps, one of the Imperial sailors wanted to know why the ship had stopped.
"We have stopped because entire legions of Hagravens are sacking Haafingar!" Joked Rhodis.
"Well shouldn't we get in there and help the guards?"
(There was a few seconds silence)
"I was joking you absolute idiot! We've stopped because the wind has changed and the ship cannot go south when the wind is blowing north! By the Nine…er…I meant eight, use your brain." Bellowed Rhodis, the sailor rolled his eyes and walked off.
"I really do love it how you treat the men, keep up with it and one might give you a kiss!" Commented the captain. For the next few hours, the wind blew north and the ship stayed anchored. Every now and then a horker or a shoal of salmon or a slaughterfish would swim past, but nothing really happened, for a while at least.
It was about three in the afternoon, when a large oar-boat started rowing over to the ship. A man wearing fur amour could be seen on deck looking at the ship.
"What in Nirn is that ship doing?" Said Cadius to Rhodis.
The man on the deck of this strange started stamping his foot onto the deck, and then all hell broke loose. The doors on the deck opened and out came a horde of rough-looking thugs with bows and swords; they began to fire on the Wolf Queen's Revenge.
"It's the Blackbloods! I knew it! Get your bow men; teach them the cost of crossing the Imperial Navy!" And with Cadius' order, the sailors let out an impressive barrage of arrows upon the thugs, but the Blackbloods did the same thing to the sailors. There was mass confusion on both ship men were killed and wounded, even Rhodis was hit in the throat by an arrow which killed him.
"Okay lads, ready the fire arrows. The navy never give in to brigands and scum like these" Ordered Lieutenant Sigmund. The terror could be seen in the eyes of the marauders at that moment as the sailors brought them to justice. Their boat was quickly turned into one giant funeral pyre with all the burning corpses already on it. And as it sunk below the waves, the imperial sailors on the Wolf Queen's Revenge got to caring for the wounded and picking up the dead.
"By Sheogorath that was the best action I have seen in years!" Sigmund said as he tended to Rhodis' body.
"All in a days work Lieutenant, all in a days work. No one bests his majesty's Navy.
