Challenge #2 Advent Calendar
Christmas literally one of the most magical times of the year, full of hope and good will. So forgive Evanna if she refused to take part in the whole stare the brotherhood down thing. She actually had other more important things to do, like shopping. Wasn't that why they were at the mall anyway? Stuffing her hands into her pockets she looked over, seeing Kitty glaring at Lance again. Were they on the outs again?
"Man, this is so lame. Come on Kitty, you're going to burn a hole in him already," Evanna muttered to Kitty as she tugged her arm.
They only had so long before something ruined this excursion, and she for one wanted to find a few presents before the inevitable. The mall had a huge calendar counting down the days until Christmas, the background of the particular poster of the day, being covered in snowflakes. She glanced at the say, 23 days to Christmas, she had gotten most of her presents done, but she wanted to get Pietro something now. They hadn't been talking when she had gone shopping for her presents but they were now, so she was a little worried.
She ignored Kitty who was muttering beside her as she looked around. There had to be something, but it had to be something a little impersonal. This thing between them was still new. As she nibbled on her bottom lip she wondered what she should get him. Wandering through the mall wasn't yielding her many ideas. They wandered into the toy store, talking and joking a bit more.
Evanna sighed as she looked around, she wasn't entirely sure why they came here, but apparently Kitty wanted to get something for a cousin while they were at the mall, which Evanna was fine with. As she walked around a little she spotted a little stuffed porcupine.
"Oh, that's so cute," Evanna picked it up and gave it a hug.
It felt incredibly soft against her skin. She laughed as she brushed her fingers across the fabric quill. It was a cute little doll. She huffed as she crossed her arms, maybe a CD? What would suit him, she couldn't help but wonder. Pietro was so picky, he wasn't a picky eater but he was particular about a lot of other things.
As she continued to look around she glanced at the calendar in the shop, this one had a Barbie on it, announcing there were 23 days before Christmas came. She sighed, as she went to the register to wait for Kitty. She still had time, 23 day was plenty of time to decide on what she should get Pietro.
Leaving the mall with Kitty she looked up at the sky, snow had started to fall again. It really was going to be a white Christmas wasn't it?
