Life for Rose was always a strange amalgaman of serenity and chaos.

She found life and other people so strange.

How could they ignore what was so obvious to her eyes?

She knew instinctively that she should never tell anyone except a few rare individuals just what she did SEE.

The Past.

The Present.

The Future.

And everyone walking around seemingly unaware of it all.

They were all so strange.

She distracted herself by studying and art.

There was just something about being able to create a simple picture that expressed what she felt was fascinating to her.

The strange actions of those around her fascinated her.

She searched for and found books in her local library on human characteristics and behaviour, trying to understand what the others saw.

They certainly seemed to be unable to see what she saw.

She came to the conclusion that teenagers and adults were strangely emotional complicated people and she doubted she would ever understand them.

Younger children were generally easier to understand, they tended to have more basic needs and their emotions were tied up with those needs.

It seemed as when a person hits puberty and their hormones activate that their more passionate and violent emotions erupted.

Very strange people.

Rose felt strangely alienated by all around her, as if she was just a spectator in her own body, unable to truly connect with anyone or anything.

Until he came.

He with all of the fury and power of a raging storm bound into the body on an intelligent and eccentric man.

He took a hold of her hand.

A Spark.

He told her to run.

They ran.

That spark ignited into a flame.

AN2: I didn't realise until I finished this short piece that I was I think describing the Bad Wolf inside of Rose. Maybe it's just me. R & R and tell me what you think!
