Blue – youth, truth, peace, spirituality

As Bill pulls on his new dress robes, he feels himself shake. He's not usually this nervous, but there's just something about the most important day of his life that's getting to him. His hands are shaking too bad for him to properly tie his tie.

From behind him, Bill hears a low, rough chuckle. "Do you need help?" Charlie asks, coming into the room. He's already dressed in his dress robes with a white carnation in the breast pocket. Before Bill could even response, Charlie starts to tie it. "Are you nervous yet?"

Bill laughs weakly, "I'm never nervous, Charlie." But when Charlie doesn't buy it, Bill sighs. "Maybe just a little."

"Well, do you love her?" Charlie questions. While waiting for the answer, Charlie straightens the now tied tie.

"With all my heart," Bill finally spits out. And it's the truth, he's never loved anyone as much as he loves Fleur and he doubts he'll ever find another girl like her.

Charlie smiles at his brother, "Then, brother, you'll be perfectly fine. There's absolutely nothing to be worried about. You both love each other and that's all that matters." Charlie takes a step back and looks over Bill once more. "One last thing," he mutters, pulling out a matching white carnation. He places it in Bill's breast pocket and grins.

Bill grins back. And for the first time in over a year, he forgets about the scars that line his face, distorting his features; because she loves him – scars and all. And that's all that should – does – matter to him.

"We better get out there before they start your wedding without you," Charlie teases.

Bill double checks his hair and fiddles with the flower in his pocket before nodding to Charlie. "Let's go." Charlie opens the door and motions for Bill to proceed first. He smiles as he's about to leave his childhood house for the last time as an unmarried man.

Bill isn't surprised when his mother throws her arms around him, sobbing quietly into his chest. Though it's muffled, he still has an idea of what she's muttering. His father slaps a hand on his shoulder before pulling his mother away. "This will be the happiest day of your life, Bill. There's nothing to be worried about," his father assures him before taking his mother to their seats.

"Are you ready to be a married man, brother?" Charlie looks over him once more.

Bill nods his agreement, "Never been more ready." The two brothers walk down the aisle together, taking their spots near the preacher. Bill's glad that he has Charlie by his side, experiencing this day; because without him, Bill wouldn't be nearly as calm as he is now. As Fleur glides down the aisle, Bill knows he's a lucky man.

Charlie watches Bill as he grins, looking like he did before Greyback attacked him. He sees the fighting spirit that has long been gone; the glowing happiness that hasn't been there in over a year.

After the ceremony, the guests take to the dance floor, laughing with happiness. Sometime later, Charlie sees Bill spinning Ginny around, her standing on his feet. And it's the first time that Charlie realizes that Fleur may possibly be the best thing that ever happened to Bill because Bill finally found peace in the time of war.
