Queens and Champions

Summary: He knew the queen better than anybody, from how she liked her hot cocoa to why she never came down from the mountain. He had been with her from the very beginning and would be with her until the end. A collection of 1st generation rival x fem!Red drabbles or one-shots.
Warning: First generation rival x fem!Red.
She was the queen. She had never lost in any battle. With her number one partner, her hair (so dark brown it was black) whipping about her, cheeks flushed with exhilaration from the fight, she looked simply regal.
He was a proud boy, very proud. He had a famous grandfather, was handsome, and had excellent battling skills. What was he not to be proud of?
But he could never win against her. Ever since he had first met her, he had never been able to win. It was more of the aura she emitted – it was the air of one with power. One destined for victory. And she had eventually become Champion, defeating him once again.
He recalled the first day he had met her. Without telling her his name (he expected everyone to know), he had asked, "Hey, what's your name?"
She had mutely looked up with a questioning expression. Her mother had quickly explained that she could not speak.
So he learned sign language to be able to speak with her.
He battled with her so she would not forget him and leave him in the dust.
She was the queen, and he wanted to be her king.
A/N: Thank you for reading!
