Remus sat in the corner of his room, sitting on his bed. He was looking out the window, thinking. The moon glared at him. It was evil. But also beautiful…
Tonks walked into the room, and sat down next to Remus. "Full moon, eh?" She asked Remus carefully, knowing that this was a sensitive subject. "Yes." Replied Remus.
Remus often spoke to his wife about being a werewolf. It hurts so much. His caring wife and wonderful son would never understand. Not really. When he transforms, every single one of his bones stretches. His brain changes. The pain is excruciating. Horrible. Just plain painful.
That night, Remus sat in the basement, waiting for the moon to shine upon his skin and transform him. He thought about Teddy sitting downstairs. Maybe He was reading a book. Or playing wizard chess with his Mum. He winced as he thought about how his skin would soon be covered in hair. The very thought terrified him.
Remus heard footsteps. Walking down the rough stairs to the basement. There was a knock on the door.
"Dad?" asked a young, innocent voice.
"Yes, teddy?" Replied Remus.
"I love you."
"I love you too, Teddy."
And with that, Remus let out a scream of pain, as the wolf took over both his body and his brain. As he transformed, He hold onto the thought that tomorrow, He would be standing next to his wife, as she gave birth to their second child.
