He should be getting used to this weird behavior but he honest to God doesn't know what she's trying to pull off right now. He's in bed with a book, after surviving a very long day, and she just barged in, sparing him the courtesy of even knocking, and jumped in right next to him.

He's doing his best not to react, to keep reading his book with a face that betrays nothing; he knows it's best not to engage her when she's trying these things, and most importantly, it's best not to resist.

She mutters something unintelligible as she suddenly pries one of his hands from the book -making him almost drop it on his face- and lifts his arm, awkwardly trying to wrap it around herself as she presses her whole body to his side.

What the hell?

But he lets his arm curl around her slender frame as she settles. He hopes that's the end of that, and tries flipping the page of his book one-handed.

As his luck would have it, not a minute passes before she starts kicking one of his legs and shoving at it with her knee. He swears she's wishing it will disappear so she has more space to... what exactly?

She turns and practically crawls on top as she straddles both of his legs with one of hers. "This can't be right or normal."

'No kidding' he thinks. But he keeps on pretending she isn't even there. He lifts the book higher, because her white hair is now blocking half of it.

She huffs against his chest, buries her face in his shirt and wiggles her whole body.

"Nine..."

He should know better but he's already looking down at her just as she jerks hear head up, knocking it hard and painfully against his chin.

He can't bite back an oath and she pushes up to glare down at him, with her elbow firmly planted on his belly.

"Five, goddamnit, stop whatever it is you're trying to do."

"That hurt," she says accusingly, and he stares back at her with wide, disbelieving eyes. "Why can't you do this right, Nine?"

She untangles herself and his leg is shoved again.

He glares at her, and his plan to do his best to ignore her goes flying out the window.

"Do what right? Letting you crawl inside of me? Should I bring you something to cut me open to make the job easier?"

"You should apologize, smartass." she rubs the crown of her head and, giving logic the finger, lays back down and tucks her head under his chin again.

"What the hell are you doing? and stop kicking me, my leg isn't going anywhere."

"There's no space, this makes no sense. It's uncomfortable and hot, but not the good kind of hot, you know what I mean?"

"I really don't."

She squirms against him once more.

"Settle down or get away from me."

"Give me a minute." she groans, and doesn't stop trying different positions until her legs are locked with his and her head is pillowed against his shoulder.

He can't see how this position is any different or better than all the other ones she tried.

"Are you done?"

"For now. I'm not entirely comfortable."

"I'm not holding you down."

"I know," she mutters begrudgingly, but it occurs to her that he isn't pushing her away either and that's enough for right now. "You better not start sweating all over me."

Nine throws his head back and she feels the long-suffering sigh against her palm as he lets it out of his chest.

"Now, are you reading to me or what?" She shoves the book he had discarded against his free hand and waits expectantly.

Did he really think he could ignore her? Is it even possible? Nine wonders.

He tells himself he will kick her out of his bed, drag her kicking and screaming outside of his room, and shut the door in her face.

"You smell nice, so that's a plus." she mumbles just loud enough for him to hear.

She never plays fair.

Resigned, he maneuvers the book open and starts reading.

Dolce S.- And this is my first attempt at Nive fluff, I hope I didn't do too badly. These two deserve more love.
