She felt tired and frustrated as she walked up the stairs to her new apartment above Hermann's garage. Tired because of the long shift that day. Frustrated because ever since Renee walked into 51 Kelly seemed to be distant. She had barely seen him in the last couple of days. When today's shift ended she didn't even get the change to say goodbye. He was already gone.

As she walked up to her apartment something felt off. There was just something in the air that didn't feel right. At first she chose to ignore it, as tired as she was, but seeing the door slightly ajar made her uneasy. She knew that there had been some break-ins in the neighbourhood a couple of weeks before, so this did not look good.

Slowly she opened the door expecting the carnage left behind after a break-in. The broken glass. Her stuff all over the floor. She had just unpacked everything. This was the last thing that she right now.

But instead of a wreckage, there he was. Standing in the middle of her apartment. Candles lit, six-pack in his hands.

"Hey" was all that came out of his mouth.

"God, Kelly. You scared the hell out of me there"

"yeah, sorry about that." he smirked.

"So, I see you still haven't given up on the habit of breaking in the people's houses, huh? She said after stepping into her apartment. The smile on her face gave away that she didn't really mind.

"No, I didn't break in. Hermann gave me a key." He said with playfulness in his voice.

"Yeah, it's my apartment, so it still counts as a break-in." Her smile was still plastered on her face as she walked up to him. Having reached him, she put her arms around his waist, while he did the same.

"I'm sorry Stella for everything that has happened the last couple of weeks" His voice slightly cracked. "I know I have a history, but I have changed. I am not that guy anymore."

"I know" She moved in to hug him. God, it felt good to have him this close again.

He pulled her even closer and softly whispered into her ear. "I love you Stella."

She slightly pulled away so she could look into his eyes, while her hands went through his hair. "I love you too"
