Sokka laid on his back and stared out the window at the night sky. He could see the lily constellation that Suki had been telling him about last night. She liked lilies. He made a mental note to pick her some next time he had a chance. He really was a great boyfriend. In the corner of the window, he could just see the edge of a full moon peering in. He smiled at it. To his side he could feel Suki's warm breath on his arm. After the war, they had curled up together every night. They only slept, nothing more, but it was enough. It was enough for them to just know the other wasn't far away. He breathed deeply, a growing sense of happiness swelling up inside him. He knew it was cheesy, but he couldn't help grinning to himself. Life was good. No scrap that, life was great. He would even go so far as saying it was amazing. It could never be perfect, he had lost a lot. They all had. But it was as close to perfect as circumstances would allow. He turned back over and wrapped his arms around Suki. She stirred but didn't wake. He watched her sleep for a little while, before closing his eyes and settling into a dream of lilies and boomerangs, a slight smile still playing at his lips.
